Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Plenji website, apps, and related services (the "Services") provided by Plenji LLC ("Plenji," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Accounts
You must be at least 18 to create an account. Keep your sign-in details secure and your account information accurate; you are responsible for activity on your account. Information added to a household belongs to that household and stays available to its other members. The household owner decides who belongs to the household.
2. The Services
Plenji helps you track household products, see what is running low, and manage shopping. Features may include barcode scanning, photo-based product identification, automated suggestions, and reminders. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
3. Food safety and product information
Plenji is an organizing tool, not a food-safety, health, or nutrition service. Product details, dates, and suggestions, including suggested best-by dates and results from automated or AI features, may be incomplete or wrong. You are solely responsible for deciding whether any food or product is safe and suitable to use. Always check the product and its packaging, especially for allergens.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you submit. You give Plenji a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and use it as needed to provide and improve the Services, including through our service providers. Product details and product-only photos you submit may be used in Plenji's shared product catalog, as long as they do not identify you or anyone else, and may remain there after you delete your account. Do not upload photos of people or sensitive documents.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Services. For example, do not break the law, infringe others' rights, access accounts or systems without permission, scrape or overload the Services, get around usage or subscription limits, or submit false or misleading product information. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Trials and subscriptions
New households get a free trial with no payment method required. Subscriptions are bought on plenji.com, renew automatically, and can be canceled anytime from your household's billing page. Canceling stops future charges; payments already made are not refunded except where required by law. When a trial or subscription ends, your household becomes view-only; we do not delete your information because of it. Prices and terms are shown before you subscribe.
7. Email and electronic communications
By creating an account, you agree that we may send you service email about your account, household invitations, billing, and security, and that notices and agreements may be provided electronically. Promotional email, if we send any, will always include a way to unsubscribe.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app or on plenji.com. What happens to your household's information is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT INFORMATION OR REMINDERS WILL BE ACCURATE OR TIMELY.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLENJI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA OR PROFITS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR $100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Minnesota law. Before filing a claim, please contact legal@plenji.com so we can try to resolve it informally. Any lawsuit will be brought in the state or federal courts in Minnesota, except that either party may use small claims court where eligible.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is material, we will give notice as required by law. Continuing to use the Services after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
